KRDO News Radio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM became the first news station in Colorado Springs to launch an iPhone app. This application allows all phone users and new generation iPhone owners the ability to listen to KRDO on the phone. “It’s all about making it easy for our audience to listen to KRDO,” said program director Mike Lewis. “More and more people want this ability and the quality is great.”

The KRDO app has features many other stations do not offer. The application will provide a display screen with controls for stopping and starting play of the audio streams, along with a volume control for each channel provided. The application will contain an alarm clock feature, which will enable listeners to wake up to KRDO’s stream when using the alarm function in their iPhone. The application will contain an embedded browser of the station’s Web site, plus many other quality features. The application is free and can be downloaded at krdo.com.
