News-Press reporter to make presentation on local books

Marshall White, a reporter for the St. Joseph News-Press, will discuss books about St. Joseph at the Joyce Raye Patterson Senior Center (Local History Stage) in St. Joseph, Mo., 100 S. 10th St., on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 1:30 p.m.

The program is presented by the St. Joseph Public Library and the Joyce Raye Patterson Senior Center. He will talk about how printing began in St. Joseph, some of the first books printed there as well as some interesting books that have been written in the community. He has authored five books since 1995, all include aspects of St. Joseph history.
